Reject from NEU Fall 24 MSDS

So i got rejected for MS DS NEU Boston, But they are recommending me to apply to MPS in Analytics and i can also select Concentration in Applied Machine Intelligence if i want to, Can someone give me an idea what is the difference about Masters of professional studies and MS degree, should i consider this and apply to the alt program.
