Travel Challenge #2: Fly Frontier to Europe or Asia?!
I was going to post this challenge in a future month, but my second favorite airline (Play) is running a limited promotion with 30% off flights that must be booked by March 23.
The challenge is to fly to Europe (recommend www.flyplay.com) or Asia (recommend www.zipair.net) using Frontier as your connecting carrier. It's easiest to book the departures out of BWI (Baltimore) to Europe or SFO (San Francisco) to Asia. (Frontier and Zip share the same terminal, like 6 gates apart in SFO. So you can cut it close if that's your game.)
I completed this challenge last year taking Frontier to SFO and using Zip to Tokyo.
My suggestion when using the GoWild pass is to permit at least an 8 hour window between Frontier and Play/Zip or if you want to be safe, get to those airports the day before.
Similar to Frontier, both Play and Zip are budget airlines that charge extra for seat assignments and bags. Both offer much better food than Frontier (Zip's food is actually exceptional and affordable, so it's okay to fly hungry. They will take good care of you!)
I have used both airlines to Europe and Asia with just a backpack 🎒 You all are veterans, so you know the drill.
So more on this current Play promotion.
It's 30% off flights booked by March 23.
Flight period: April 27 - May 4, 2025 & May 6 - May 11, 2025 & May 13 - May 31, 2025 & September 7 - December 15, 2025, Weekdays: Sundays
Details at: https://www.flyplay.com/en-us/us-offer
I'm seeing September flights to Copenhagen as low as $337 roundtrip (did that two years ago for maybe $30 less). I'm also considering Berlin for $389 roundtrip. London seems pricey at $425 and it's not to Heathrow but some more remote London airport. I could be persuaded to visit Paris or Amsterdam.
Anyone want to join me on this challenge?
Where are you interested in going? I have not booked yet.
I am also a mod at r/FlyPlayAirlines if you care to join.
