Does anyone else’s Generation G smell and feel like old crayons?

I recently on a trip to Washington DC stopped by the glossier store and picked up a bunch of merch! I also happened to pick up a generation G lipstick in the shade Malt! It looked really good. Note: I have had an excellent experience before this with the Gen G shade Jam (I’m on my 3rd one now)

Back to Malt: I just opened the pack and applied it, the formula is SO dry, and smells expired and RANCID. It smells like old crayons and i absolutely hated how it felt on my lip. I don’t know if it’s a new formula, or like it’s some sort of weird batch, but omg! It sucks! I saved up for this specific shopping trip and I was so pumped. I just wanted the same experience I had with the Jam Gen G that I’ve had before. I hope someone can tell me I’m not alone 😭
