The “er” on words instead of “air”

As someone from north Lanarkshire, I notice quite a lot when speaking to weegies they say stuff like gem, ster, her, instead of game, stair, hair etc. legit from just outside Glasgow and don’t hear anybody speaking like it, is it just a Glasgow as a whole thing or certain parts a Glasgow?
