Is pumping increasing my sensitivity

I was pumping for about 6 months and was loving the results. I noticed a harder and larger erection. The only downside i had was during sex i became extremely sensitive. Before pumping i could go on for 20-30 minutes before cumming. After pumping i was nutting a few strokes in. It was embarrassing to say the least. Since then i have stopped pumping and have returned to my normal sex routine. I do enjoy pumping but im terrified of becoming extremely sensitive again. Are there any tips to avoid that besides completely ditching the pump
