Busking! But legally and respectfully.

Okay, I know there will definitely be negative pushback, but let me explain myself first.

Me and my friend are both international students and I work here part time, but still need some extra cash, which is why I sometimes sell stuff at flea markets, and now decided to go busking with her, since she plays electric guitar and I sing. So we could have fun and earn some extra money if we are lucky enough.

I found out you can get a permit for this from the BVG, and I plan to do that, so no illegal or disturbing activity would take place. Even if we suck it is only temporary for people passing by!

Now, my question is, is that considered freelance or what? Or is it considered performing for donation? Is this allowed? Thank you so much and have a wonderful evening!
