Looking for an action-packed involved game

As much as I enjoy a game with a good story, I need one that keeps me going action wise. I struggle with keeping interested in games that can't seem to find the right balance. I end up just skipping some dialogue because I'm itching to get back fighting/completing the game.

I know some people would recommend the Trails games, but the combat I just can't get behind after watching a bit of the game play. Couldn't get into The Witcher series. Not a fan of Red Dead or GTA. And definitely no Souls-like games.

I could definitely use another time sink of a game.
