MMO Shooter for beginner

Hey, so I finally just got a PS5 and really want to sink my teeth into a mmo shooter type game. I was pretty heavily invested in COD Mobile for a number of years and loved the customisation options for weapons, characters etc.

For many years I shied away from online games because I heard the chat aspect could be pretty toxic. Then I realised I could usually just turn this off and play in peace.

If there are any out there with more chill communities I’d be up for giving it a go. I recently played some Marvel Rivals and was enjoying the gameplay, but don’t really like the characters as I’m not invested much in the MCU.

Preferably looking for something that can be more noob friendly, where I can build skill without getting totally destroyed straight off the bat.

I don’t know. Any suggestions.

Overwatch? Apex? Valorant?
