ALEC Associated State and Federal Polticians
The American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC) is a conservative political organizing and lobbying group that has been embedded in US politics for about 50 years. It is a cousin to the Heritage Foundation, sharing a founder, Paul Weyrich. The organization is more than a lobbying group and functions more like a club or society. It is to the Legislative branch of government in America what the Heritage Foundation is to the Executive, and what the Federalist Society is to the Judicial.
