What is wrong with me? (Kerosene followed)

I have sprayed some of my sample and it's not "beast mode" like everyone is saying. It also doesn't smell like maple syrup at all. This has been sitting for 3 hours and just smalls like straight black coffee. I'm a bit confused. Does the dry down take a while?

EDIT: I think I must be anosmic to something in it because everyone is saying they smell Cinnamon/pancakes whenever they are near me and that house has smelled like it for 3 days. I am blissfully unaware.
