Early Suppressor Sunday
Good Evening/Morning Fosscadians
It is I, Nikolai.Romanov here with a suppressor sunday post.
if you are seeing this saturday its because i am posting it early so i don't forget.
Today i would like to start by showcasing the Project 17 Malachit, a suppressor designed fore the M1337 Gatling Gun by nopel.
PR.17 MALACHIT PROGRAM UPDATE
Nopel himself has taken it upon himself to test the monster suppressor, and with an approved form1 he has done so.
PR.17 Malachit, 300BO subsonic, 7.5in barrel, M1337 by nopel
While the video above is only with subsonic, and it is only the beginning to the testing process as we plan to validate it with supersonics as well, the fact that it works at all is awe inspiring.
we have already identified some initial issues that will need to be worked on and will be working to update those as they are fixed.
URUTAU INTEGRAL SUPPRESSOR PROGRAM UPDATE:
testing continues of the UIS in various iterations. Due to twitter user Alan Cristoffer, we are now award winning with the design, having been featured in the roast by p80ralph. His specific model, the UIS-L 11.5 GOVT, will likely advance to beta stage as soon as we apply some minor fixes from the alpha build to a file pack. you can see it picture below:
In total we have about 60 rounds through it, with some minor issues identified which will be fixed.
it is compatible with both supers and subs.
Soon, our dedicated team will also be bringing into life a couple more versions which will be able to use different barrels and even reinforced construction methods. Keep an eye out!
NEW-- PROJECT 104 - BRAMIT II
Bramit originally was a suppressor designed by the soviet union to apply to the mosin-nagant rifle.
As far as I understand, it was intended to be used as a close in weapon with specially modified subsonic ammunition, which we are looking into.
however, as it stands right now we want to make it compatible with supers as well. we will be exploring how to make it work with either ammunition type.
Bramit attaches to the mosin-nagant with no additional parts, and will require the user to make no permanent modifications to his or her weapon. i am not a fan of bubba'ed mosins.
mosin nagant bayonet modeled as a reference
on release, the pr.104 will also include some reference geometry for the mosin nagant's bayonet, critical in making this project work as intended. future designers will be able to use this to make their own designs.
PROJECT UPDATE- PROJECT 77.1/77.2
The maus and ratte have now been tested somewhat extensively. while we sort out the final details, I am going to be working on the documentation. these will likely advance to full gamma status soon. they have been tested in excess of a hundred rounds by some users, with the only failure being that the baffles themselves have worn away completely over time with the gas erosion and temperature. we will be developing guidance as to a firing schedule and round counts that will inform the users what they can expect with different filaments.
NEW- PR.95 Revolver suppressor
I don't have a lot about this design as it has yet to be constructed or tested, but it is in the running still. it is primarily meant for the nagant revolver, as currently there is no other revolver i know of that actually seals when fired, reducing the suppression capability. However, i do plan on making a flowthrough version that will assist with noise on even an unsealed chamber, which might attach using the same clamp-on method as this one. this design coupled with the fact that 1895 nagant ammo is pretty much natively subsonic, you have a potent suppression package.
anyone interested in testing on an 1895 nagant or any other revolver please let me know.
NEW - PR.100 TYULPAN
while in theory not an actual suppressor, it works within the same category for the end user- signature reduction. in particular, the tyulpan (tulip, in russian, which you will understand is appropriate when you see the shape) is trying to replicate the exterior appearance and function of a russian flash suppressor that works particularly well under night vision.
unfortunately due to the way the ATF classifies things, you should still take care when testing it to not invite scrutiny from an ATF agent. However, this is a lot less risky than an actual suppressor, especially considering the precedent set by the Delta-tek product.
The Pr.100 has been tested with 9mm out of a short barrel, and tests for the rifle variants are imminent.
we can always use more testers though, and the files for this one are public under the alpha mirror on the usual place. make sure you hold it at arms length if you are testing a rifle version though, it very well might blow up.
The tyulpan will eventually have the same ratcheting mechanism at the back for the retianers on all AK models assuming it works with them, but for now we are keeping it simple. keep an eye out!
HUBTN4 - Trem-Mango
i have been on communication with Trem-Mango for a while now. Before seeing his post here, he had told me about the design he was working with privately. Before ever hearing about it from him, i had theorized that it would be possible. I had even modeled some stuff, but it wasn't very practical.
Trem-Mango has actually taken the idea and put it into practice, which is impressive. While my aversion to JB-weld persists, and I attempt to design my own version to copy his success and try and improve upon it, i would like anyone interested to go check out the HUBTN4, which i think could be the future of suppressor construction.

Pictured below is the Pr.102, intended to utilize the same concept as the HUBTN4 for strength, it has yet to be made or tested.

skylinemitch - form1 EDC carry Can
https://www.reddit.com/r/fosscad/comments/1j5dczz/form_1_edc_can/
This suppressor was developed for a 32acp gun, intended to be EDC equipment. it's pretty neat!
i am sincerely hoping we can get the files posted publicly as it would be a nice asset to those of you with little 32ACP guns.
Update: the user has now posted more information. Take a look! https://www.reddit.com/r/fosscad/s/PXTMNsg3kn
u/thee_Grixxly - Notacan+loundencer
https://www.reddit.com/r/fosscad/comments/1j4hb49/notacan_nac_loudencer_v1_open_beta/
intended to be a flash suppressor like the Tyulpan, it probably isnt a full on suppressor legally speaking.
according to testing it works well and is actively being developed, with more designs on the way. check it out!
Well, thats about all i have for this suppressor sunday. Keep an eye out for future developments, and remember our doors are always open at OKB-69. Anyone can join and test, and all of our designs are open source, if not now then eventually.
