Regional payscales

I work at a certain regional as an FO whose CEO basically said that pilot pay was subject to go down in 2026 depending on pilot demand. I have been here for under 6 months and was recently convinced by a captain to throw out apps to other regionals that have their pay-scales contractually obligated. I was curious to get other people’s take on this if they think it is a stupid idea or a reasonable one. Thank you for any input.
