aren't people being too harsh about the black mage changes?

and i say this as a black mage main. (who, fyi, did not pick it up just because smn got changed— i've been playing it since i started in stormblood.) i'm not THRILLED with all of the changes in their entirety, but the core of the class isn't that fundamentally different. it feels smooth. i'm not eating shit getting punished just for dodging mechanics. i know that black mage was considered the "big brain" job due to how hard it was, but imo if it's so hard people won't even play it then i understand the changes.

i don't love the direction of them— i think the timers could have stayed— but it's an improvement overall.

but i've seen so many posts both here and on other subreddits from people (many who HAVEN'T EVEN TRIED THE NEW CHANGES YET) who have outright cancelled their sub over this. and like, look... different people have different needs from their video games, i get that. but like.

this just feels insane. black mage has felt like chewing glass to play throughout dawntrail, especially in comparison to how buttery smooth it was at the end of endwalker. now it's playable again. i'd like it if they can add some complexity back in down the line, but people acting like this is the end of the world and that this is on par with the complete and utter reimagining summoner got makes me feel crazy!!!!

i'll probably get downvoted to hell but i just don't get it lol
