Ethers/Potions

Is there any way to know if/when the devs will add new ethers and potions? With all the new stuff coming out in 7.2(x), I’m hesitant to keep my surplus if they become obsolete soon. I was wondering if there’s perhaps hints in past expansions that might apply?
