Fishing Rod Melds for 100?

I've been following this guide https://guides.ffxivteamcraft.com/guide/gathering-melding-guide for my gathering Melds. I know Fisher gear gets melded the same as the Miner and Botanist, but I'm confused on how the rod gets melded? I see the "For Fishing, the rod can be melded with a single GP X. This might change in the future.", but it confuses me. Are we not Penta-melding the rod? Is it literally just a single Grasp X materia, no other melds?
