How does one handle all-mighty beings?

So, in the story I'm writing there are what's essentially the gods of the world. They are beings of absolute power that each embody a specific concept. They are enigmatic and hard to fathom. The thing is... one of these gods is the only being to have the answer to one of the main cast's questions: What is the true nature of the world.

I plan on the answer being revealed eventually because it is the thing that will reveal the fundamental truth of everything that has happened so far, of why things have went the way they did and what it means for the future of everything. The answer from a god should weigh that much at least. But until then, any recommendations on going about it without downplaying the whole mysterious vibe I plan on giving them? Like, I don't see the god just randomly descending after a mission is fulfilled just to give the main cast the answer before poofing back where they came from.
