Inspiration from the real world

Hello everyone,

I'm curious, we often take inspiration from real things to imagine a story by reading or writing it. Which ones often come back to your imagination? Faces of people you know? Places from your childhood, from every day?

Here are three places that inspired my world building :

1) plitivice lakes national park in Croatia, a wonder that I hope to see one day in real life, that I use for creating a whole region dominated by waterfall and lakes. A mix with the grands lakes in Canada. 2) Carcassonne, which we no longer need to introduce to lovers of medieval architecture. A beauty to see in real life situated in the south of France 3) Hongsoondong in Vietnam, the largest underground gallery in the world. A totally atypical nature exists there.
