What are your thoughts on A Winters Promise?

I did like the unique magic system but the overall plot kind of felt bland?, Ophelia and Thorns chemistry was non existent, he was a grumpy guy that showed up and they only spoken for like 30 secs and left Ophelia to the wolves.

The book is categorized as romance but both mc’s couldn’t stand to be in the room together for more then 5 secs

I didn’t like how Ophelia was such a doormat maybe she gets better as the series progresses but idk I did rate this a 3.25 stars.
