NHL Week 6 Matchup Ranking/Schedule By Opponent - G/G and GAA

Hello All,

I built some charts to help you see the matchups for the week. I plan on posting this every week for a little bit of clarity on what teams have the best goalie/skater matchups for the week and on what day.

Some Notes:

-All stats are up to date as of Sat morning.

-1st chart is just the base schedule for week 6 along with stats for each team - G/G, GAA and SV%.

-The 2nd chart would be for Goaltender Matchups, each opponent is replaced with their Goals per Game stat on the schedule and a heat map is provided. The total average between all of their opponents for the week is provided after the 'Sun' Column. Every team and their respective Goals per Game stats are provided from lowest to highest (easiest matchup to most difficult).

-The 3rd chart would be for Skater Matchups, each opponent is replaced with their GAA stat on the schedule and a heat map is provided. The total average between all of their opponents for the week is provided after the 'Sun' Column. Every team and their respective GAA stats are provided from highest to lowest (easiest matchup to most difficult).

For example, the TBL Goaltenders have the easiest matchups for the week based on Goals/G as their opponents are scoring a combined average of 2.5 Goals/G. Detroit Skaters have the easiest matchup as their opponents have the highest GAA.

Sorry if this was too long, just wanted to clarify what is going on with these charts. If yall want anything added to these, just let me know and I'll see what I can do. I do plan on adding more in the future, not just G/G and GAA.

TLDR: If they are playing the Sharks, it's a great matchup.

Goals/G Chart [For Goaltenders] - Opponents are replaced on schedule by their G/G number. 'OPP G/G AVG' column is the average G/G combined for the week. Chart is put in order from easiest goaltender matchup to difficult. Teams and their G/G in order at the end.

GAA Chart [For Skaters] - Opponents are replaced on schedule by their GAA number. 'OPP GAA' column is the average GAA combined for the week. Chart is put in order from easiest skater matchup to difficult. Teams and their GAA in order at the end.
