Guess the Number - What percent of Users Draft in X Month?
Here are a couple of stats that I found interesting that I needed for my own personal projects that I thought the community might find interesting.
I needed to get a quick estimate of when fantasy football users draft. For this I found over 35,000 Sleeper leagues and used the Sleeper API to find when they drafted.
Here is each month:
- January: 151 leagues (0.42%)
- February: 370 (1.03%)
- March: 515 (1.43%)
- April: 4,658 (12.93%)
- May: 9,214 (25.57%)
- June: 3,801 (10.56%)
- July: 4,302 (11.94%)
- August: 8,599 (23.88%)
- September: 3,875 (10.76%)
- October: 225 (0.62%)
- November: 191 (0.53%)
- December: 112 (0.31%)
I have two thoughts based on this:
- This may be skewed towards the summer months as Sleeper takes on more dynasty users IMO
- Who is drafting in November - January and why?
