What would the Grand Magic Games be like without the time-traveling end-of-world plotline involving Future Lucy/Rogue Cheney, without the random trip to Celestial Spirit World that wasted Team Natsu's time during their training arc, and without the dragon invasion from the Eclipse Gate like if these plotlines don't exist at all in this alternate timeline?
