What is the controversy surrounding Serbia??

Hi, forgive me for being ignorant but I have watched the songs and I watched Serbias and I think it’s a fine ballad, slightly boring but the I like the last minute. I don’t follow national finals with the exception of Sweden this year lol, can someone explain what the entire controversy is about and why that song receives a lot of hate?
