Surgery Tomorrow
Hey guys.
I have been struggling for seven years with breathing through my nose. Every night when I lay down, one side or the other gets completely blocked up, switching back and forth throughout the night.
I had a septoplasty in 2018 but it didn’t help my breathing at all. Now, I have an “Inferior Turbinate Bone Resection” scheduled for tomorrow.
My doctor is relatively young and assured me that the way surgery is taught in medical school these days, ENS is hardly a concern and avoidable. He said it’s never happened to any of his patients before.
Despite his reassurance, I’m still terrified. I have less than 12 hours to call off the surgery and I have no idea what to do.
Has anyone else here had this exact surgery, Inferior Turbinate Bone Resection? From reading through the sub I know there is no “safe” procedure, but does anyone here have any thoughts on if this is a safer option?
Thanks so much!
