Rewiring a lamp switch with multiple settings to just be on/off?

I have a desk lamp that has a controller with multiple buttons to change color temperature, brightness, and on/off. I want to rewire it to just have a simple on/off switch so that I can plug it into a smart outlet and control it remotely. Is there any way to do this? I am guessing no, since its various settings are managed by a chip in the controller?
