Has anyone successfully used simoptions.com for an esim in Europe?

Pretty sure the company is a scam but curious to hear from others. Bought the $17 data package while in Portugal and it doesn’t work, says you have to contact them once everything ‘connects’ without data. Their phone number doesn’t work and isn’t a real business. Opened a support ticket and it took 3 days for a copy and paste of the original instructions, which we already sent screenshots of and doesn’t work. They refuse to respond again and customer service is nonexistent. Have used other eSims and didn’t have issues. Has anyone worked with them successfully?

Edit: I did get reimbursed in the end, will give them that!
