Du has broken me

Sequence of events as follows:

2nd of November I decide to get wireless internet installed. The sim in the router is not recognised (so no internet), which leads me to making mutiple daily phone calls only to be told that everything is fine and it’s working… it is not…I am the one staring at the flashing red light that symbols a non-connection!

7th November it is cancelled (they insist that I won’t get charged for this cancellation) I decide that a fibre connection is a safer bet even though it’s more expensive.

11th November they come to install my fibre connection… and again I have no service. Why? Because my account is not activated. Once more, I am forced to make daily/mutiple phone calls where I am promised that it will be activated in an hour/by the end of the day/tomorrow! Of course this does not happen and in the meantime I am assured that because my account has not been activated, I will not be charged.

1st December I receive an email that my account has now been activated… Great, I should be able to access the internet now! Wrong. Internet is still not available, I message my original technician offering to pay money to fix it and he comes and says there is nothing he can do as the connection has still not been activated from Du’s side.

I check my account and I have a bill for the grand total of 1,225 AED!!

Du has charged me 839 (799 cancellation charge) for the 5 days I had a non-working wireless connection.

And they have charged me 356 AED from 10 November to 30 November for my fibre connection… when my account was not even activated.

Still no service, and I can’t take another phone call where someone insists it will be fixed by the end of the day. They have defeated me with their incompetence.
