Bowed Wall

I’m planning to install a new base cabinets on this wall, and during planning I realized there is a pretty big bow in the wall. The bow is most pronounced in the middle (pictured), much less at the top and bottom of the wall.

A) does this appear to be a big problem that I should bring in someone to look at or something a DIYer can fix? It is an exterior wall if that matters.

B) best plan of action to fix it? Keep skim coating until it’s built up? Remove this section, scan on to the joists to make them straight and re-drywall?

Planning to use a wood top, so just scribing the top to the wall I’m worried will make the bow obvious.
