Customs 3/4 fuel fine

Hi yalls,

Have been driving into jb every week or 2 for the past year or so, recently kena checked and fined $100 for first time offender for 3/4 tank rule.

Everytime I kena check with about 1/4 of fuel, the officer usually just say next time 3/4 ah, then I just apologized and they let me go.

But this time the officer seems new and with no questions asked, pulled me aside. Really suey.

Now that I have learned my lesson (partially), if my fuel tank shows half tank or slightly less than half, would they let me pass?

I estimate the probability of getting checked based on personal experience to be 1/15 or about 6% of the time.

And I swear by the fact that they do the checks to hit a minimum quota, just cleared immigration and saw the officer just started fuel check. The car in front of me kena, I next car to kena, and all the other cars behind me just get to go without getting checked. Rlly suey :(

Will they purposely activate to check my vehicle again once they see my car/ passport is clearing immigration?

Please share all your personal stories on this topic too guys! Curious and interested to hear all your stories too!

Edit: Let me know if u guys are interested in the procedure and what is done after I was told to pull over.
