🚨 DOOR DASH ACCOUNT HACK SCAM 🚨

So my first order of the morning was to a local spot about 2 miles away. As soon as I hit the road, “DoorDash” starts blowing my phone up. I don’t like answer while on the road so I wait until I get to the restaurant. I get to the restaurant and pick up the order and notice it’s only “a side of salsa” and nothing else. No food, no drinks, just a side of salsa.

I get ready to call Doordash back and they call again and I answer. They announce themselves as a “DoorDash” agent and reference the order saying the customer made the order by mistake and needs to cancel. Made sense to me off hand and then they went through a process in order to handle getting me compensated for the order. I’ve never had a cancelled order so this is why I was an easy victim. They sent me verification links and had me enter info on a fake doordash verification page that looked legit. My dumbass entered the info (password, etc. 🤦)

They then said I’ll see my compensation in my account in 24-72 hrs. I was just trying to get to my next order so my awareness was low as f**k.

Then I get the email that my debit card info was updated and I IMMEDIATELY realized I was scammed lol. The 7-day hold is a lifesaver so I went in and changed my password. They also updated the phone number and 2 factor auth went there when I tried to reset the password. Good thing they couldnt/didnt update the email address because I was able to send it there.
