Better late than never??

So I am 32 got super lucky with crypto cause my dad is in the space heavily and told me to buy eth back in 2016. Sold my entire eth holdings in 2021 cause I needed the money cause of covid. Used some but have so much money just sitting in my savings account. I never been into investing and am realizing I am basically losing money letting it sit.

Been reading alot and like dividends alot. or the sound of them at least. lol I would mainly want to invest in ETFs since they are more secure than other options. is VOO and SCHD 2 good options to invest a lump sum then monthly? or should I throw in something like HD or COST as well. love your input since i am a noob with lots of money to lose lol
