My coworker, and king of the pit, bought me a waterproof adjustable apron with his own money, because he felt bad for messy little me going out for smoke breaks in the cold with a wet shirt. Chef found out and reimbursed him, thankfully, but he didn't even ask. I might have cried a little out of gratitude.
