Am I doing it wrong?

I see you all share images where you work in squares, where you seem to cut up the cover. Mine all have plastic film where I peel it back and do as much of a colour as I can then move on.

Is there a reason you do it in squares? Do you use the original cover? Do you take it off and cut it and put it back? I have so many questions 😂
