Everyone with same skillsets (React, NodeJS, AWS, JS)
So I am also guilty of this problem. I created a resume and found out that I have the same skillsets as any other person on the market. These are ReactJS, NodeJs, AWS, MongoDB or postgresSql. Its kinda funny that all the skills are these and they might have the same couple of side projects as well. Pick a random junior profile from linkedin and they will have the above skills. My skillsets are the same. In such a scenario, how does one standout when applying to jobs. Everyone is the same. The one who has the most tailored/optimized resume will win but how does one even do that? I also think that during these scenarios, the alumni comes into play where they look for candidates college.
I am thinking of switching and pivoting myself. I wanna mostly focus on the infra side of things, maybe pickup go or rust. What to do in such a situation when everyone is the same kind of engineer?
