Can I still experience this season's story "organically?"

Hey all! A few months ago I decided to build a new PC from scratch while I waited for last season to end, totally unaware of the GPU shortage. I was finally able to get my hands on the GPU today, and I'm typing this on the new rig while D2 downloads in the background.

Obviously I've been really bummed out about missing this season so far, I've heard how great it is. So I'd like to know ahead of time if it's still possible for me to experience this season's story more-or-less in order? Like, Can I do all the weekly quests one after another and hear the previous lines of dialogue? Or is that content totally lost to me?
