The strongest women I know

Hey y’all, I want to share an incident that took place yesterday.

My mother is a cancer patient and often visits the hospital for routine check-ups. Yesterday was one of her major PET scan days. We went to the hospital, and when it was her turn, she went inside the ward to get injected with the necessary drug for the test.

There was another lady, probably in her 60s, lying on the bed next to my mother, also undergoing a PET scan. As soon as she was injected with the drug, she suddenly fainted. Her body started shaking, her teeth clenched tightly, and she began trembling—it was a terrifying sight. What shocked me the most was that no one rushed to help her.

Despite having a needle still in her hand, my mother immediately stepped in to support the lady. She gently held her, kept her mouth open, and shouted for the doctors to come quickly. When the doctors arrived, they were alarmed by the situation and rushed the lady to the emergency ward.

The woman had come to the hospital with her daughter, but her daughter had stepped out for a while, leaving her mother alone. Seeing this, my mother took the woman’s phone from her purse and called her daughter to inform her about what had happened.

I really hope that lady is okay now, but what stood out to me the most was my mother’s strength. Despite undergoing her own medical procedure, she prioritized helping someone in need. She is, without a doubt, the strongest woman I know, and she is my greatest source of inspiration.

That’s all I wanted to share.
