Online lobbies with friends (killer+survivors)
I've been playing Dead by Daylight (DBD) since it was released in 2016. Although I've only logged about 600 hours, which isn't much considering I've been playing for years, I typically play once a week. DBD has been my go-to game when I have an hour to spare, and I've played both solo and with friends in custom and public matches.
Recently, I started wondering if it would be possible for Behaviour (the developers) to allow a group of three friends (1 killer and 2 survivors) to join a public lobby together. Is this feasible? I understand there are potential issues, such as communication between players giving an unfair advantage. However, if both the group of friends and the two random players commit to playing fairly, wouldn’t it be possible to implement a system like this?
Currently, if you don’t have five players for a private match, one person can’t play as the killer in a balanced setting. Some of my friends prefer the killer role, while others enjoy playing as survivors, which makes it hard to find a balanced solution without a full group. I’m curious if anyone else has thought about this, and if there's a potential way Behaviour could implement such a feature.
