Ladies, have you ever broken up with a guy you were dating because you met someone you liked better?

Let's say you're already somewhat unhappy with your relationship for whatever reason, and you already have a foot out the door so to speak. You haven't been together very long and you know things probably won't work out with this guy, and that he isn't your person, but you're still with him out of convenience or because you don't want to be single. And then let's say you meet someone at a social event or party that you find more attractive than your current boyfriend, and you also have better chemistry with him, at least based on first impressions. He's tall, handsome, funny and has a great career. Basically he's everything your current boyfriend isn't. You're a catch too, so the guy asks you out not knowing you're taken. Would you say yes? And if you go on that first date and find out that he's a better fit for you than your current boyfriend, would you break up with your boyfriend so that you could be with the new guy? Or would you agree to the date but immediately break up with your boyfriend afterwards so that it's not cheating (remember you were already unhappy with him so it's not like you're dropping him out of nowhere)? Have you ever done something like this?

Edit: Just to clarify, I am not a woman, and I have no intention of doing this. It was just an interesting thought experiment I had.
