What’s with all the Crayons?

My daughter, 5F, keeps taking crayons from her school desk, putting them in her backpack, and bringing them home.

One days she came home with 1 or 2. No big deal, whatever. Now she’s upgraded to 6-8 crayons! We tell her she needs those crayons to use at school so she can have fun and draw and all that. But, still crayons.

My wife volunteered to lead her class as a guest the other day. They end the lesson and start heading to recess and my wife noticed my daughter with a handful of crayons as she is leaving the room. Wife gently tells daughter to put them in her desk and a friend chimes in and tells my wife that “she always brings crayons”.

Why is my kid hoarding crayons? Are the crayons magic? Is she secretly drawing blues clues on the side? How do you even pronounce crayons?!

We aren’t frustrated or anything. Just some stuff that 5 year olds randomly do 😂
