CompTIA Sec + vs CEH in 2025

Context: I was thinking about getting the CEH in 2025 but my boss told me that it is heavily overrated. She recommended CompTIA+ instead. I only have 3 years of experience, I can not take the CISSP

Current position: L3 SOC Analyst

Medium / Long term position goal: Technical leader in infrastructure/architecture team.

GOAL: Getting a promotion/trying to move to a position that is more related to my desired position AND/OR earning more money.
