Brute forcing enigma

I just finished watching the imitation game (I imagine you guys hear that frequently). From what I understand, Turing's machine used predetermined information (weather info) to break the code. I had a couple questions:

  1. Given enough time, could his machine have done this with no input information?
  2. Roughly how long would it take a modern super computer to brute force enigma?

I know number 2 is super subjective and based on computer specs and all that. I'm just looking fora ballpark estimate. Hours? Days? Weeks? Months?
