Question(s) about SCART to Component and otherwise getting best picture quality on a CRT.
I've done some reading about people using SCART cables on NTSC consoles and then using a SCART to Component adapter in order to get the best picture quality on a CRT.
My first question is, is this a noticeable improvement? Will it be a big jump taking, say, an SNES or a PS1 from S-Video to a SCART/Component adapter on a CRT?
Second, does using such an adapter introduce any lag that wouldn't be otherwise present on a CRT?
Third, I see HD Retrovision has direct component cables for pretty much all of the RGB capable consoles. Are these cables any different than using a SCART to Component adapter or is it functionally the same thing?
Any other feedback or opinions on SCART to Component is welcome as well. I have a North American CRT so direct SCART is not an option.
