[Season 3-6] Sam Larusso is a great character!

I know Sam has been a pretty polarizing figure in the past. But in the recent seasons, and now that the show is wrapped up, I can definitely say I love her character now!

It took a bit, but I now appreciate the writing beats her character got, starting from season 3. Then, she received the PTSD arc and learning to overcome her fear. By season 4, she was incorporating more offense and was developing her own style and coming into her own! This is something that I truly respected from her as this is what Miyagi was teaching Daniel in the 3rd movie. Though it makes me wonder why Daniel forgot that lesson...but that's for another post.

In the 5th season, she was learning how to deal with a 'loss' and wanting to step back to focus on herself away from Miguel. But in the 6th season, we got to see her be a crazy MVP in the Sekai Taikai. To me, she's one of the most consistent fighters in the show.

While thinking in hindsight, she's arguably had the best writing arcs for the teen characters in the show, a bit more than Robby and way more than Miguel.

May her Okinawa journey lead to a further step in her karate development!
