The Psychology of MS Teams Status - Available, Busy, Do Not Disturb, Be Right Back, Appear Away, other

I wondered on this sorta, like I don't really mess with it but leave it to available. Though some people seem to have a knack at the MS Teams status change thang. I donno, just find this MS Teams Status a bit mysterious after all.

So I wonder, what is your take on the psychology of the MS Teams Status in the context of work, but Clinical Research in particular, where a lot of resources are decentralized.

  • Do you think Line Managers check when you are Away often?
  • Does 'Do Not Disturb' look rude? Or is it totally expected?
  • Do people set fake meetings to look in a meeting? (LOL)
  • In what context would you set yourself to Busy (if you're not really busy otherwise lol)?
  • Whatever your thoughts are on this... Let us know!
