degrees of 'SHB'

I'm still learning the game and the starter pack says the MC decided what the degree of the STOP HOLDING BACK move is... But i'm the MC.... I have no idea!

I could really use some examples of degrees and how the MC decided what the risk was going to be. I'm also thinking of 'in between' risks.. 2 fade/crack, instead of losing a theme-card...

Anyway, Do people have examples for me? or a way of deciding what the degree of risk would be?
