I lost a friend today (venting)

I found out the other week that a guy I've known for over 25yrs, and who was my best mate when I was in Adelaide, removed me as a friend recently on Facebook.

He'd been slowly heading down the right wing cooker path, and had a history of being a bit racist, but me being me I looked the other way because I didn't want to upset him - I didn't have many friends and valued him despite his shitty traits. But I guess me posting about voting Yes to the Voice referendum was the last straw for him. I'm not as sad about it as I maybe would otherwise be, but it still sucks.
