The American

This is quickly becoming one of my favorites. I previously had the robusto vitola which is what drove me two buy two other vitolas (this one being the double robusto) as well as 3 other robustos for the humidor.

For starters, from a construction and draw perspective I loved the double robusto. An absolutely perfect draw and near-perfect burn the whole way through requiring no touch-ups. Each puff got a ton of nice, thick smoke.

I recently got a cigar journal and have been exploring the world of journaling my cigars and I'm trying my hand at actually guessing strength and flavor notes etc.

I've been trying to get better at this (guaging flavor notes and strength, etc.) But I am a beginner. To me this had notes of toasted, spicy, woody, nutty, and creamy. Take that with a grain of salt because not only am I new at that, apparently cigars that I guage as being medium or medium full - professional sites rate them as more full bodied, and my flavor notes haven't matched spot on. So I'm kind of learning my way through this.

But not to take away from the headline which is I have been loving this cigar and especially the double robusto today.
