USPS marking packages delivered when they haven’t been?
I’ve noticed in the last year or so that very regularly, USPS tracking will notify me that a package has been delivered, but my building never got a mail delivery for the day. It’s not just my package that’s missing; we don’t get a mail delivery at all. The package (and other mail) then usually arrives within a day or two. This happens almost every time a package is delivered by USPS. We haven’t gotten daily mail deliveries in years and I think my neighbors and I have just gotten used to it, but they never used to mark packages delivered before actually delivering them. Does anyone else experience this?
It’s not a big deal since the packages always arrive eventually but I can’t help but feel a little annoyed about it sometimes. Is the mail handler marking them delivered to meet a quota or something like that? Is it worth calling my local branch?
