CMV: Canada should move into the process of joining the EU

  1. There are no legal reason for preventing this. There are things that Canada would have to adapt from the EU standards a and may not be very enjoyable in some aspects but that's about it.

  2. It would prevent the USA more so from trying to get Greenland. Not just the natural resources but especially the trade routes would be very beneficial for Canada and the EU.

  3. It helps to bring them together more as allies. They already have more in common with the EU anyways.

  4. If the UK rejoins the EU this adds to my argument further.

  5. With all the US tariffs happening, this allows better trade options for both sides to ease any financial burden in the mean time.

  6. It would piss Trump off, which is more of a bonus than anything else.
