Console > Computer Hyperdash Glitch?

I am a player who used to play Celeste on Xbox but bought it on steam since it was 90% off. When I bind my jump key to both C and Space, I can successfully hold Right Arrow and Down Arrow, then jump to hyperdash, but when I try to do that with space, I just crouch dash horizontally. Could anybody help me with this?
