My cat has a broken leg, any advice?

He went missing for a couple of days before this, we didnt know where he was but today he finally returned with a broken leg, will take him to the vet and do everything the veterinary says.

I want to know if I can do something to make him feel better while he continues to heal that isnt just taking him to the vet, like i am really worried for him 😭 btw his name is Astro
